Our client is an international trading house specializing in dairy ingredients since 1935.
The office is located in Antwerp and easily accessible by public transportation.
They are seeking a freelance export clerk for a medium-term collaboration.
Your duties as a freelance export clerk:
- Making arrangements with customer and suppliers regarding availability of goods, loading and unloading, etc..
- Prepare export documents, follow up on documents to be obtained externally, prepare set of export documents for customs clearance at destination.
- Follow up payments in consultation with trade and accounting.
- Complete follow-up files from a to z.
Your profile of freelance export clerk:
- Knowledge of Windows, Office, ERP package for order processing, Excel, Word and other contemporary PC applications.
- Knowledge of and experience with export documents, INCO terms, payment terms...
- Several years of experience are required , if food industry is a plus but not a requirement.
- Punctual, administratively disciplined and accurate in processing document flow.
- Experience in organizing the logistical handling of trade files, booking transportation (different modalities), preparing documents, following up the flow of documents, following up payment agreements made in consultation with sales and accounting.
- Good knowledge and active use of French and English is necessary , speaking & writing, any additional language is a plus.
This assignment cannot be done remotely, office work is required.
The company has 8 employees, one by one hard workers who also like to have fun in the workplace. Give and take is the mindset of the company. You will work with the team in a very nice office in the heart of Antwerp.
There are flexible hours - so you can start between 7:30am and 9am and work until 5pm.
Work can be part-time, 3 to 4 days per week and the period is indefinite for now.
